The bat-franchise takes a slide - Batman Returns Reviews

This movie tries to recapture the "magic" of the 1989 original. But it comes off as a pale rip off of the first film with even less plot structure.

Dirty movie - Batman Returns Reviews

The only reason that I hate this movie is because it gives off a dirty nasty vibe that makes me wanna throw up. I mean the peguin is so nasty when he eats his fish and that guys finger. Its just nasty. The plot and action is good though.

A very special christmas episode... - Batman Returns Reviews

Batman at X-Mas... OK, I'm interested. Originally to cast Annette Benning, the CatWoman role seemed to be in safe hands with Ms. Michelle. And Danny DeVito being allowed his freedom of range in playing the Penguin was a great touch. Add some Walken, and we have a film. Not as big a blockbuster as the original, it still carried well. Unfolding a bit slowly and seemingly a bit mixed, it didn't quite follow the comic lore, but, neither did any of the other films in the original quadrilogy. Keaton played his role a bit better this time around, but was also given more script and screen in and out of the mask. He also had the advantage of being the original. Plan on the popcorn, but no breaks allowed.

Batman returns - Batman Returns Reviews

entertaining and has a good visuals but still there's something about batman that lack the charisma and the strong personality even the catwoman was cold but it stay entertaining.

Even more dark - Batman Returns Reviews

Tim Burton did a work on this one. Trick is how dark could he possibly make a film. He is definetly a twisted fellow. This movie attacked 2 of Batman's villans, who tied in very nicely to each other. This film had famous people for the bad guys as well which made the film more effective, even though the make up was so well done that it was hard to tell who they were (voice gave it away though). Story was pretty bland, but better than the first. Overall it was a pretty good movie, who then had to get the lead recast for future Batmans. Not too bad, but Begins is still better.

Batman returns sheds light on superhero films.... - Batman Returns Reviews

Batman Returns the second chapter of a series of five movies to be made. It easily described as brillant. Tim Burton does an outstanding job of introducing both Catwoman (played by Michelle Phiffer) and the Penguin (Played by Danny DeVito). Batman who is always best played by Michael Keaton doesn't appear within the first half hour of the movie. Setting up the story of Batman Returns. The movie has spetacular action sequences and gritty sometimes brillant Acting. A must see in the Batman collection.
